HAWAIIAN ENGAGEMENT INFO ABOUT US CONTACT |
Your jewelry is designed to last, but it will need some care to keep it looking its best and lasting you through the years. Below we’ve compiled some best practices to help guide you through taking care of your jewelry.
We highly recommend contacting your insurance company to insure your jewelry under full coverage.
Kanahele Jewelry’s manufacturing warranty covers our workmanship and enamel under normal wear. We are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage of your piece.
Keeping your jewelry free from chemicals and harsh substances will prolong the enamel lettering of your jewelry. If your enamel lettering does wear off, we provide a lifetime complimentary service to re enamel the lettering of your Kanahele Jewelry. Customer is responsible for shipping charges.
When you receive your new piece of jewelry, it will be beautiful with a shiny high polished finish. Over time, the shiny polish on your jewelry will age beautifully into a dull finish. This change is expected and completely normal. Keeping your jewelry free from harsh chemicals or substances will protect the finish of your piece and will also keep the metal from unexpected tarnishing. We also recommend removing your jewelry when showering and swimming in salt water and chlorinated pools. There are a few things you can do to protect the surface of your jewelry. We recommend removing your jewelry when you are doing heavy work like lifting weights, gardening, or doing the dishes. When storing your jewelry, protect the surface of the jewelry by handling with care. Store your jewelry on soft trays, lined boxes, or in pouches or bags separate from other pieces. Keep in mind that wearing other jewelry, such as bangles or bracelets may bump against the other, and cause dings or scratches.
We offer complimentary professional cleaning and polishing on Kanahele Jewelry pieces. Contact us for more information or to schedule your complimentary cleaning.
We, at Kanahele Jewelry, stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. We encourage thoughtful and careful daily wear of your jewelry. The following tips will guide you through the care of your jewelry to ensure the integrity of stones and settings:
We provide a 1 year Warranty service which includes cleaning, polishing, and setting and mounting inspection. Under normal wear this service is complimentary within the first year of receiving your piece. Normal wear is defined by wear that is in line with the detailed instructions within our care guidelines. Customer is responsible for any shipping charges.
Outside of our 1 Year maintenance Warranty, we offer this service for a fee of $85. during which settings and mountings are checked and tightened. In addition to performing any needed maintenance we will professionally clean and polish your jewelry at no additional cost. Contact us if you are interested in this service.
We highly recommend contacting your insurance company to insure your jewelry. While Kanahele Jewelry’s manufacturing warranty covers prong maintenance up to one year, it does not protect you from stone(s) or ring loss and/or damage.
As is the nature of fine jewelry, there is always the possibility of accidental damage, which is why insurance is always strongly recommended. Insurance ensures that anything outside of the Kanahele Jewelry warranty, your jewelry would be covered in full. In the case that accidental damage which is outside of our warranty coverage occurs, we will do our best to assist with any repair that is required at owners expense. This type of repair can include but is not limited to, replacing chipped or scratched stones, replacing or repairing elements of a damaged piece including prongs or a band.
In the case that a piece requires repair or servicing, customers will be responsible for shipping costs. Please contact us should you need to have your piece assessed for repair, or resized. Our studio team will assist with a personalized process which will vary case by case.
